This full-bodied, red-fruited Cabernet comes from a tiny vineyard on Diamond Mountain owned by the Mueller Family, who have farmed this estate at an elevation of 1,100 feet for decades. They
produce fewer than 150 cases each year. In 2021, that red-fruited expression offers an elegant take on Cabernet, with lovely savoury notes of anise, olive tapenade, and tobacco. Rich, chocolaty
tannins are supple with firm edges, and excellent underlying acidity keeps everything fresh, vibrant, and with good length and tension. A really lovely wine.

Winemaking: Following gentle hand-harvesting and destemming, the must was cold- soaked for 48 hours prior to a 12-day maceration. The final blend was aged for 18 months in 100% French oak cooperage, two-thirds of which was new.

Tasting Notes: Intensely ruby red and violet-edged in the glass, the 2021 Mueller Family Cabernet Sauvignon shows very fresh, generous lifted aromas of dark black cherry, cocoa, and cassis bud. Cascading flavors of black fruits dominate the firmly structured palate, which exudes a flinty minerality that evokes the cobbled stone found throughout the vineyard. The lingering finish reveals notes of spice and espresso. Built to last, this wine will offer optimum enjoyment from 2025 through 2035.
